Overview

Brace yourself for an exhilarating experience as you roam around the endless sand dunes on your chosen ‘Ship of the Desert’. Embark on this epic adventure starting from the city. Once you've reached the serene sands, an experienced off-road instructor will welcome you with your preferred vehicle to put you through the paces. After the safety briefing, you’re off on a roller-coaster ride as your rugged vehicle sails over the soft sand dunes, deep into the pristine desert terrain. Your adventure concludes with a relaxing drive back to the city. The tour includes refreshments and a snack box, in case you need some refuelling after your exciting experience. Your safety is our main priority, so we will always ensure that your adventure is safe, yet memorable and fun-filled.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours before booked date. No-shows and late cancellations are non-refundable.

Know before you go

• All participants must be over the age of 21 with minimum of two years driving experience. • All participants will be asked to sign an Indemnity Waiver Form before undertaking the experience. • Vegetarian option is available for the snack box. Please advise this at time of booking if required. • The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programs because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar circumstances. • Client is fully responsible for themselves and the vehicle in case any damage is caused during the rental. • The duration of the actual tour is about 4-5 hours but the transfer time to and from Dubai hotels may take an additional 60–90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day. • The operator will contact you within 24h to 48h of the tour date to confirm pick up location and time. Pick-up times are subject to change due to local traffic and weather conditions. WINTER PICK UP TIMINGS as from 1st October 2024: • The morning tour departs approximately between 7:30am and 8:00am. • The afternoon tour departs approximately between 3:00pm and 3:30pm. • This desert safari trip involves off-road driving across sand dunes and off-road tracks. As the drive can be rough in certain areas, we are unable to accept any pregnant women, persons with heart ailments and back or neck problems. • Participants must be over the age of 21 years with a minimum of two years driving experience. • A minimum of two people are required for a booking. • Hotel transfers are in a four-wheel drive Land Cruiser. The operator will contact you within 24h to 48h of the tour date to confirm pick up location and time. • This tour is not wheelchair accessible. • Dress code: light summer clothes are recommended. Sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses and hats are advised. WINTER PICK UP TIMINGS as from 1st October 2024: • The morning tour departs approximately between 7:30am and 8:00am. • The afternoon tour departs approximately between 3:00pm and 3:30pm. • All guests must send the supplier a copy of their passport and international drivers license as well as a signed disclaimer form. • All participants will be asked to sign an Indemnity Waiver Form before undertaking the experience. • All guests must strictly follow the instructions, rules and regulations. • In-case of any accident, Orient Tours LLC will not be liable to the clients. • No insurance is provided or available for any incident including accidents, damage, loss, injury, etc. caused by or to the hirer during the self-drive. The hirer shall be solely liable or responsible for all consequences as a result of any such incident.
